Cincinnati's Innovative 19th-century Landmark Photo

Cincinnati's Innovative 19th-century Landmark Photo

My lovely wife took me to see the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge in Cincinnati a few weeks ago. It spans the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky. We didn't get a chance to walk across it but the first pedestrians crossed it on December 1, 1866. At that time it was the longest suspension bridge in the world at 1,057 feet. This is an amazing place to visit. That evening we saw a steamboat carrying passengers down the river. I hope you enjoy the photo!
